Sounder is a New Berry Award book. I thought that this book is about friendship, loneliness and suffering. This book has lots of sad parts I think the most saddest part in the book is when Sounder, the dog goes inside the cabin then died. It was really sad because of all Sounder and the boy been through and then Sounder just died. I think this is a outstanding book.
